We walked inside. All the lights were off. It didn't seem like anyone was home. We continued to walk to our rooms when a light switched on. My mother was standing at the end of the hall. I quickly opened the closest door I could find and jumped in the room. I slammed the door shut and locked it.

I heard banging on the door. "Evalyn! You get out here this instant! You're friend is out here waiting for you! This is not polite!" My mother yelled. I breathed a sigh of relief. I was gonna have to show her sooner or later.

"Um, tell Erin i'll be there in a sec, I'm, uh, gonna get a quick shower." I said. Luckily the room I had wandered into was the bathroom. I turned on the shower in hopes of tricking her. I heard her head downstairs. I opened the door and Erin and Eli came in. I quickly shut the door again.


"What was that? What happened to seeing her freak out?" Eli said.

"I don't know! I panicked okay!" I said.

"Look Evalyn, she can't tell you what to do anymore, you're 19." Erin said.

I sighed. "You're right." I said. I shut off the shower, opened the door and headed downstairs. I found my mother in the kitchen getting something to drink. Erin and Eli were hiding behind the couch in the living room which was right next to the kitchen. "Hi mom." I said.

She turned around. "Holy shit!" She yelled. "What the hell did you do?" She yelled.

"I got snake bites, is that a problem?" I said with a smirk.

My dad came running down the stairs. "What's wrong?"

"Look at our daughters face!" he looked at my face and gave a dissaproving look.

"Only an immautre, irresponsible-"

"Devil worshiping freak would do that." I finished. "I've heard this all before, and it's not gonna hurt me anymore!" I said.

"Take those things out now!" My father said.

"No." I said.

"Listen to your father and take them out now!" my mother said.

"I said NO!" I yelled back "I'm 19, you can't keep telling me what to do."

My dad slapped me across the face. My cheek stung like crazy. "As long as you live under my roof you'll do as you're told.

My dad went to slap me again but Eli stood up and ran in front of me. "Leave her alone!" He yelled. Next thing I knew Eli's cheek was all red. He got an angry look on his face. Erin ran over to me and hugged me. "Devil worshiping freak?! You really do treat her like complete and utter shit!" Eli said, anger in his voice. "You guys are horrible!"

"You said as long as I live under your roof I have to do as I am told." I stopped for a moment. "Then you know what, i'm leaving. I'm done staying here!" I said.

"Fine, leave. We don't need a devil worshiping freak and her brother here anymore." My father said. The three of us ran upstairs. Eli and I began packing. We didn't have much stuff so we only filled up 3 suitcases. Erin called Everett and asked if we could stay with him for a while since he and Dylan had their own appartment.

Eli and Erin took the bags to Eli's car. I walked back in my room and grabbed the one thing that was left, Jinxx's guitar. I ran back downstairs to Eli's car, jumped in the back seat and we left.

I grabbed Andy's jacket. I had left it in the car by mistake. I put it on, curled up in a ball and fell asleep in the backseat.

I woke up the next morning in a bed. I still had Andy's jacket on. I took it off and laid it on the bed. I walked out of the bedroom to see everyone standing by a counter eating poptarts.

"Well good morning sleepy head." Everett said. I walked over to everyone else and sat on the counter.

"Hey Evalyn, are you okay?" Erin asked.

I sighed. "I'm fine, now that i'm out of that living nightmare."

Dylan handed me a pack of chocolate fudge poptarts. "The poptarts are chocolate and isn't chocolate a girls best friend?"

I laughed. Well, really only when we're in bad moods, but this fat girl loves choclate!" I said and took a bite of my poptart. Everyone laughed at me.

"You're not fat Evalyn." Erin said.

"I know, I was just trying to be funny." I said, still chuckling. My phone went off.

"5 bucks it's Andy." Erin said.

I gave her an evil smirk. "Please don't make go get the duct tape." I said.

"Okay, well if this one isn't Andy then 10 bucks the next one is.

I looked at my phone and the text was from Ashley.

Ashley- Heyyyyyyy i gotta tell you something, something important X3.


I held the phone up in Erin's face. "HA! It was Ashley! Pay u-" My phone went off again and this time it was Andy.

"I do believe you now owe me $10." Erin said with an evil grin. I threw two fives at herand read Andy's text.

Andy- IGNORE ANYTHING ASHLEY SAYS!!!!

Evalyn- Hmmmm, all caps, 4 exclamation points. There must be a juicy secret. >:3

Ashley- Andy said he lidsfbjhdsfgewyfgbsdjh!>qldsj"


"What the fuck?!" I said. Everyone looked at the text and said the same thing I did. My phone beeped again.

Andy- Sorry about the weird text from Ashley, I was trying to steal his phone and we sorta hit random buttons......oh shit he's about to kill me cuz I took his phone. Ttyl.


I looked at the clock on my phone and it was 11:30. "Holy shit you guys! why didn't you guys wake me up earlier?!"

"We figured after last night you could use the sleep." Eli said.

I got up and ran to the bathroom. I got a quick shower and dried my hair. I put on some black skinny jeans, my Blood On The Dance Floor tee, my BVB Army necklace and my black converse. I put on some eyeliner and we all headed out the door.

Once we got to DQ we decided to get some blizzards while we waited for Andy and them to show up. We sat down at a booth and Dylan waited for our icecream.

"Well well well, if it isn't the freakshow and her little group."

I recognized the voice all too well. I got up and stood in front of the evil blond. I let out a little chuckle.

"Bridgette Lee Andrews. What a suprise." I said evily.

"Still singing in your wannabe band?" She said

"Still fucking every guy you see?" I retorted.

She looked down at my arms. "At least i'm not a cutter." She said with a smirk. I wanted to punch her in the face.

"At least i'm not prego, or are you just getting fatter from eating at places like here all the time?" She slapped me across the face. At that very moment the members of BVB walked in. My face stung even more.

I laughed. "This bitch is gonna get some stitches!" I said and punched her right in the face. BVB and my friends were cheering.

She looked at me. "I'm in the finals too Evalyn. We'll settle this then." She said and left. We all got kicked out of DQ and decided to head up to mainstreet.

"That was awesome Evalyn!" Ashley said. "Who knew you could kick some serious ass?" We all laughed. "So, what song are you gonna sing?" He asked.

"Not telling, it's a suprise." I winked.

"Is it one of our songs?" He said with a smile.

"Damn you purdy!" I said.

"Haha, which one?" Andy asked.

"I'll give you a hint. There are three churches in town, so almost everyone in town is religious and almost everyone watches garrettsville idol, not to mention my parents will be sitting front row. I figured, if this one song of yours made my parents think you're satanic, why not piss them off some more by singing it?"

I could tell Andy and Ashley caught on as to what I am singing, but everyone else seemed a bit confused.

"Wait, Evalyn, i'm confused. I thought you were gonna be singing an Evenescence song?" Dylan asked.

"Well, I was, but after last night I decided I wanna piss off my parents some more." I said.

"So what exactly did happen when you got home last night?" Andy asked.

"Long story, lets just say Eli and I aren't staying there anymore."

"They kicked you out?!" Ashley said shocked.

"No. They said as long as I live under their roof I gotta do what I am told, so I left. I'm 19, they can't keep telling me what to do." I said.

"Are we gonna just stand here or are we gonna go ride some of the stupid rides?" Erin said.

"You just wanna go on the one that goes upside down." I said.

"Yes, yes I do, cuz it's the only fun one here." She said.

"Well, while you do that I have a better idea. Lets see how many Black Veil brides we can fit on that one ride." I said with an evil smirk.

"Oh I got to see this!" Erin said.

We headed off to the rides. As soon as we got to the one ride (Sry, i can't think of what it's called at the moment. XD) we made the five of them get in line while we got them tickets.

"I'm not so sure about this. those seats look like they're for little kids." Andy said.

"Well, they are, but hey, a few years ago we were able to fit three high school guys in one seat, I think we can fit a few of you in one. And Andy, you are a twig, so my guess is if we put you on there first we can fit three of you on there." I said.

"You can't deny you're a twig Andy." Ashley said.

It was finaly our turn. I told the guy in charge of the ride what we were trying to do, so he said we have 5 minutes. I made Andy get on first, because, you know, he's a twig. Ashley got on next and sat on the far left. I looked at CC, Jake and Jinxx. CC also seemed to be a twig so we shoved him up there to. There was suprisingly room for one more.

"Okay, which one of you is getting on?" I said.

They looked at each other and gave me an evil smirk. "We think that should be you." They said. They grabbed me and shoved me up there in between Andy and Ashley. they put the safety bar down and the guy started the ride. none of us could move and it waqs very awkward.

I yelled at Jake and Jinxx. "I hate you! I hate you! I hate you with a passion!" They just laughed at me. I was able to get a hand free and I flipped them off. After about five minutes we finally got off the ride. We went around and played some games, and I made them ride this little train that's really only for little kids but all the teenagers ride it anyways.

We walked around some more and there was a bounce house. Erin and I looked at each other and we ran off screaming "BOUNCE HOUSE!!!!" We crawled in and were having a blast.

"C'mon guys, it's a bounce house, it's fun, get in here!" Erin said.

Everett and Dylan shrugged. they were taking off their shoes when the lady in charge came back and yelled at us to get out, that we were too old to be in the bounce house. We got out and walked off. We came across this stand with a little jail cell.

"Let me hold your money and phone for you. You gotta sing soon and we don't want this stuff falling out of your pocket on stage." Erin said.

"Whatever." I said and handed her my stuff. Erin and Dylan gave me an evil smirk, grabbed me put me in the jail. "Hey!" I checked the time on Dylan's watch. It was 7:00pm already. "Really guys? I gotta sing soon. I'm getting out of here."

"Um, no you're not." the lady running the booth said. "You either stay in here till you gotta sing in two hours or someone buys you out."

"WHAT?!" I said shocked.

I looked over and saw Ashley, Jake, CC and Eli across the street talking amongst themselves. Eli walked back over to the door of the jail cell. I was really pissed off and Andy just kept laughing at me. Ashley, Jake and CC walked behind Andy and screamed "NOW!" Eli opened the door and they shoved Andy in there with me.

"What the hell guys?" he said. They all just laughed.

An hour and a half went by and we were bored as hell"Get us out of here guys." Andy said.

"No." Ashley said with a smirk.

"What do we have to do to get you to get us out?!" Andy asked.

Jake, Jinxx, Ashley and CC looked at each other. " Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

Andy started blushing. "S-Stop joking around guys. Seriously, what do we gotta do?"

"We're being serious Andy. You two gotta kiss." Jinxx said.

Andy was still blushing a little. I Chuckled. "Dylan, what time is it?"

"Um, 8:50 He said.

"What?! I'm supposed to be at the stage right now!" I knew I wasn't gtting out of here for another half an hour. I sat down on the ground with a sigh. I jumped back up. "Holy shit! I just remembered." I took off my left shoe and pulled out the $2 I had hidden in there. "I put this in here because I figured Erin would do this to me again.

I gave the lady the money. I ran out of there and bolted off to the stage. I got to the stage just in time. Bridgette was up next.

"Well well, late as usual I see. I'l say good luck freak because I know you're gonna need it." She said.

"Actualy, you're the one who's gonna need the luck you bitch." I said with a smirk.

"And now here she is, last years champ, Bridgette lee Andrews!" The announcer said.

She got up on stage and began to sing Funhouse by P!nk.

Once she was done she got off the stage and walked up to me and gave me the mic. :I think we all know who the winner is gonna be this year." She said.

"Yeah, it's gonna be me!" I said. the announcer said my name and i ran out on stage.

The sound person was about to start the CD when I stopped him. "Wait!" I said. "Instead of singing to the CD, can I have my band come up here and play?" The judges okay'd it and Dylan, Everett and Erin ran up on stage. Dylan grabbed some drumsticks, Erin grabbed the bass and Everett grabbed a guitar. I looked at Jake out in the crowd. 'C'mon Jake, you get up here too." He jumped up with a wide grin and ran on stage grabbing the other guitar. I told him what song we were playing and his grin got even bigger.

They all started playing and I started to sing.

I saw my parents sitting in the crowd.They were giving me dirty looks, as were other people. Ashley, Jinxx, CC and Andy were cheering us on and so were a few BVB fans in the crowd, like my friend Becky. I took a deep breath before I said the last few lines.

I heard some cheering in the crowd, but mainly I heard "Boo!" and "Devil Worshiper!" I didn't care. I just smiled and got off the stage. Five minutes I had found out that I was disqualified and Bridgette won again. I walked to the boardwalk to watch the fireworks show while everyone else stayed on the bridge. They understood I wanted to be alone. I occasionaly waved at them and they waved back.

-Andy's Point Of View-


I walked over to Evalyn on the board walk. She was the only one there. "Are you okay?" I asked. She turned her head, looked at me, then looked back at the river.

"Yeah, i'm fine." She answered. I looked at her and saw she had my jacket on.

"I'm sorry all those people were calling you a Devil Worshiper." I said.

"It's no big deal. I think i've learned not to let that stuff bother me anymore." She said.

I smiled. "How are your arms? Do they-"

"Still hurt? Yeah, a lot." She said.

The fireworks started going off. Evalyn looked up at the sky. Cheering could be heard in every direction. I drowned out all the noise. A smile spread acrossher face. It was great to see Evalyn happy. I looked at her and she looked at me. Not thinking about anything,I put my hand on her cheek, leaned in, and kissed her.
