I grabbed my phone and shut the alarm off. Too tired to get out of bed I pulled the covers over my head and fell back asleep. The door to my room squeaked as it opened. Footsteps approached my bed. The covers were tugged off my bed, and I was being tickled.

"Come on Evalyn. Wake up!" A voice said. I continued to be tickled.

"Hahahaha…..Stop it!" I kicked whoever was at the end of my bed, refusing to open my eyes.

"Ow!" I let out a low chuckle. Something was put in my ears. Next thing I knew, music was blaring into my ears.

"Ah!" I jumped and landed on the floor. The music was shut off. I looked up to see my brother laughing. "Haha. Very funny Eli." I said sarcastically he grabbed my arm to help me up. A shocking pain traveled through my wrist and up my arm. I pulled away and held my wrist. I looked up to see my brother with a worried look. "Eli."

"You've been cutting again, haven't you?" He asked, worry in his voice.

"W-What? No!" he grabbed my arm and pulled up my sleeve, revealing many cuts. I began to cry. "Eli, it's not what you think." I said between sobs.

"What happened yesterday?"

"Eli, it's n-"

"What happened yesterday?' he asked, anger in his voice.

I explained what happened as the memory played over in my head. "I-I got to work….and….I found all of those in the windows." I pointed to the trashcan. Eli walked over and started reading the papers in the trash.

I got up and walked over to him. He turned around and hugged me. He was crying now. "I- I promise…" he began. "I promise, I will not let you hurt yourself over this." He let me go. "Now come onbirthday girl and let's go eat breakfast." He urged me downstairs.

I stopped and gave him a hug. "Thank you, Eli."

"Happy Birthday!" my parents yelled and set a plate of pancakes in front of me.

"Thanks." I replied, giving most of my food to Eli.

I ate the one pancake I had and ran upstairs to shower and change. I threw on my black skinny jeans, Black Veil Brides tee, Black Converse, and my Black Veil Brides star necklace. I ran back downstairs and saw a few presents on the table.

"R-Really guys, you didn't have to get me anything." I said.

"Of course we did." Eli said. "Trust me, you'll like mine the most." He winked.

"Too bad she'll see yours last." My mom said handing me a gift. "Here." She said, and sat back down. I opened it only to see the same gift I get every year from her. A book.

"Um, thanks mom." I said, not excited.

"Come on and read what it's called. It goes along with your dad's gift." She said.

I looked at the cover. It read 'The other side: A teens guide to ghost hunting and the paranormal'. My eyes went wide. I threw the book on the table and practically attacked my dad's gift. I opened it to find Voice recorders, thermal imaging cameras, you name it. Practically everything I need to go ghost hunting.

"Does this mean?"

"Yep. You're officially allowed to go ghost hunting." My mother said.

I screamed from excitement. Quietly of course. "Oh my gosh, thank you!" I turned to Eli. He sat in his chair smiling. "What's with the grin? Think you can top their gift?"

He chuckled. "Oh. I don't think, I know I can top their gift, big time." He got up from his chair. "Be right back." He ran off to his room. He came back about 30 seconds later with a guitar case.

I gave him a look. "Don't tell me you're getting my hopes up by making me think you got me new guitar again?"

He chuckled. "I guess you're just gonna have to find out." He set the guitar case on the table and I opened it. My eyes widened even more than before. This time, there was an actual guitar in there. It was lying upside down in the case. I went to pick it up but Eli stopped me. "Not yet. Um, mom, dad. You might want to cover your ears." He urged me to pick it up.

I grabbed it and my mouth dropped. "Is this?'

"Yep." Eli said.

I screamed. Like, full out screamed. Everyone uncovered their ears. I looked at Eli. "But how? How in the world did you manage to get Jinxx's Ouija board guitar?"

"It wasn't easy I can tell you that. I had to draw the whole band and then hope that my drawing was the best." I ran up to him and hugged him. "You were right. Your gift was the best."

"That's not all of it though." He pointed to the guitar. I looked at it. Then I saw it. I was staring at Andy Sixx's autograph. I looked all over the guitar only to find autographs from the whole band.

"No fucking way!" I screamed.

"Once again, that's not all of it." He stood there holding sheets of paper in his hand. He handed me the sheets of paper and I about died. Right here, in my hands, were five front row tickets to tonight's Black veil Brides concert. He held something else up in front f my face.

"Are those?"

"Oh, they're nothing really. Just, backstage passes to the concert." I was surprised I didn't faint. I ran up to him and hugged him again.

"Thank you so much Eli. These must've cost a fortune!"

"Actually, I didn't pay for any of it. I won everything in that contest." He said with a chuckle.

A knock came from the door. Eli went over and answered it. "Everett! Hey dude, what's up?"

"Hey Eli!" he looked over at me. "Hey Evalyn. Happy birthday!" he leaned over and whispered something in Eli's ear.

"Oh. Okay." Eli looked at mom and dad. "I'll be right back. I have to run somewhere with Everett real quick."

They walked out the door, but, before the door could shut it flew right back open.

"Evalyn! Happy Birthday!" in the doorway stood Erin and Dylan. On the floor lay Eli and Everett.

"Hahaha. Are you guys okay?" I asked Eli and Everett

All they did was give me a thumbs up. They are so alike I swear they could be brothers. They both got up and walked back out the door.

"Here." Erin said handing me a card. "Sorry that's all we could get you. I didn't have time to go shopping really."

"It's perfectly fine. One question though. Why in the world would you get me a gift card to the store I work at?" I held up the Hot Topic gift card in face.

"Hehehe. Funny story really." She said.

"Holy Shit! Is this what I think it is?" I turned to see Dylan staring at Jinxx's guitar. Erin ran over and her eyes widened.

"Oh my fucking god!' Erin screamed. "How did you……Eli won the contest didn't he?"

"Yep." I said.

"Wait. Does this mean?" Dylan asked.

"The five of us are going to be sitting front row and going backstage to tonight's Black Veil Brides concert." I finished. The two of them stood there, mouths and eyes wide open. The door swung open and in walked Eli and Everett, Everett holding a small box. He looked at me and smiled. Then he looked at Dylan and Erin, mouths and eyes still wide open. He chuckled.

He walked over and handed me the box in his hands. "What's with them?' he asked. I couldn't help but stare at him. He was wearing his Black Veil Brides shirt as well. His hair was a little bit of a mess. And his smile, it made me feel better. Everett is my best friend, and that's how it's going to stay.

I came back to reality and answered him. "Why don't you walk over there and find out."

He walked over to where Erin and Dylan were standing and his eyes even went wide as well. "Holy Shit. How did you get this?' he asked. "Wait. Eli, you didn't."

"I won the contest. Are you jealous of my artistic abilities?" Eli smiled.

"As if Eli." Everett said with a smirk.
Erin and Dylan were still staring at the guitar.

I looked at Everett. "Don't worry guys, I got this." He said. He walked over to the kitchen and grabbed two glasses of water. He walked back over and dumped it all over Dylan and Erin. Erin screamed and Dylan just stood there annoyed.

"Hahahaha." Eli, Everett and I stood there laughing.

"Not funny you guys!" Erin screamed.

We watched as she kept freaking out. I loved it when my friends were like this. It made me forget the pain I was in. Everett's mouth was by my ear when he whispered, "Go on. Open it. It's from me." I looked at the box sitting in my hand. The box was white and covered in the Black Veil Brides symbol. A black and silver bow kept the box shut.

I turned around and looked at Everett and said, "You really enjoy doodling on stuff, don't you?"

He smiled. "Just open it." I smiled back at him and untied the bow. I lifted the lid up off the box. Laying inside the box, in red tissue paper, were some Black Veil Brides guitar picks and a dog tag necklace with my name engraved in it. I picked up the necklace and turned it over. On the other side was the Black Veil Brides symbol.

"We are now official members of the Black Veil Brides Army." He said holding up his necklace as well. I hugged him. This had to of been one of the best birthdays ever. I turned back around only to find Dylan, Erin and Eli wrestling. They didn't stop when they saw us looking at them. I looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was already one in the afternoon.

I looked back at Everett. "Make sure they don't kill each other, k?'"

"No promises." He said. I ran upstairs to my room. I grabbed the black eyeliner and nail polish sitting on my book shelf. I put on the eyeliner just like Andy Sixx and then painted my nails black. I looked at my arms. I began to quietly cry.

"I can't believe no one noticed." I said to myself.
"So, how long were you planning on keeping this a secret?"
